Jane’s expertise comes from 25+ years of experience in high-stakes environments. She has worked with sales teams, guided leadership through a merger integration & divestiture, led organizational change initiatives with new leadership, and designed innovative solutions for onboarding and developing talent. Before founding Hyun & Associates, she held line and HR management roles at JPMorgan and was Director of Recruiting at Deloitte and Resources Global. She served as research director for The Conference Board’s “Cultural Fluency: Leadership Styles in Asia” study.
She is the creator of the Culturally Fluent Leader Academy®, a virtual and in-person learning experience launching in 2025.
A graduate of Cornell University with a degree in Economics/International Studies, Jane has been an advisor to Coqual/Center for Talent Innovation and the diversity council for the American Heart Association.
In 2024, Jane released Leadership Toolkit for Asians – The Definitive Resource Guide For Breaking the Bamboo Ceiling, the much-anticipated follow-up to her ground-breaking bestseller, Breaking the Bamboo Ceiling (Harper Collins), which opened up a critical dialogue about the need for a culturally grounded career development approach. She is co-author of FLEX-The New Playbook for Managing Across Differences. Jane serves on the board of Operation Exodus, which provides mentoring to Latino youth in Washington Heights. She is passionate about helping individuals flourish in their workplaces and communities.
